We are seeking a fully funded Ph.D. student to join Prof. Mi-Ling Li’s
group at the University of Delaware in 2024 to assess human exposure to
per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) via seafood consumption. The
project specifically focuses on PFAS exposures of recreational and
subsistence fishers and will offer opportunities to work with the fishing
communities in the field. The research product has direct policy
implications for public health. The student will develop analytical
chemistry skills in the laboratory and strong quantitative skills. Prior
experience in environmental science or exposure sciences or equivalent
education is required. Applicants with some quantitative skills (e.g.,
Bayesian analysis, Monte Carlo simulation, machine learning, etc.) are
preferred but not required. For more information, or to apply, please
contact Dr. Mi-Ling Li (milingli at udel.edu). More information about Dr. Li’s
group https://www.miling-li.com/.
