JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a Facility Director to support the Laboratory for Isotopes and Metals in the Environment (LIME). The final candidate will be expected to: 1) oversee maintenance and operation of instruments and associated facilities; 2) develop a working knowledge of instruments within LIME; 3) set and maintain standards for data quality and control; 4) establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and data quality standards for all laboratories; 5) manage shared online resources for the LIME facility, including sample and standard data, SOPs, financial contracts, etc.; 6) train or oversee training of users at all levels to use lab and instrumentation; 7) manage access to LIME facilities and instrumentation and; 8) manage billing for work completed within LIME.
