Westminster University in Salt Lake City, Utah, seeks a geoscientist with expertise in climate science and/or hydrology and/or geochemistry and with the ability to teach coursework in GIS. This position begins in summer or fall of 2024 and will be hired at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Geology Program in the Westminster College of Arts and Sciences. As a primarily undergraduate-serving institution, we seek an excellent educator with demonstrated ability in facilitating active student engagement in the classroom and mentoring undergraduate researchers. Experience with team teaching, community engagement, field experiences, and other innovative learning designs is desired. We seek an energetic colleague who will participate actively in the growth of our vibrant program and the ongoing development of our innovative curriculum.

We seek candidates who demonstrate skills, experience, and potential to facilitate the learning of all students, including those historically underrepresented in higher education (such as students of color, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, first-generation college students, and more). The Geology Program is strongly committed to increasing the diversity of our student body and our discipline by creating a safe and welcoming environment for all within the geosciences.
