Job Description
The Desert Research Institute (DRI) is accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Snow Hydrology and/or Soil Science within the Division of Hydrologic Science (DHS). The incumbent will contribute to a multi-institute funded project that focuses on the snow-soil interface. Candidates should have a background in numerical modeling of snowpack or soil processes. We are particularly interested in candidates with a combination of field and modeling experience.

The position will be based at DRI's Reno campus. Travel will be a significant component of the project, and will include travel to field sites, collaborators' offices, and conferences. The position is eligible for relocation assistance.

Required Qualifications

  *   Ph.D. in an Earth Science field from an accredited institution completed within the past 5 years
  *   Research experience in process-based numerical modeling
  *   Experience publishing in peer reviewed literature
  *   Effective verbal and written English and interpersonal communication skills
