We are recurring a postdoc to support our land surface data assimilation
project. The specific information for this position is as follows:

*Department*: ESSIC, University of Maryland
*Starting Salary: *Commensurate with experience
*Closing Date: *Open until filled
*Primary duties*: Improve the accuracy of Unified Forecast System (UFS)
forecast through assimilating the primary satellite land surface data
products.
*Qualifications*: A Ph. D. in Earth science discipline, applied
mathematics, computer science, or a related field, while experience with
land surface data assimilation is highly desirable.
