[ES_JOBS_NET] Air Pollution Specialist, California Air Resources Board (Sacramento), prescribed fire and GIS

Good afternoon,

The Agricultural and Prescribed Burning Support Section (APBSS) at the California Air Resources Board (CARB) has an opening for an Air Pollution Specialist (APS) to aid in the development and modernization of the Prescribed Fire Information Reporting System (PFIRS).  The system is a statewide repository for prescribed burning activities in California and is currently used by land management and air regulatory agencies.  In order to better meet stakeholder needs, the system is being upgraded using the Esri platform to provide a more modern user experience.

The preferred candidate will have a strong technical background, with experience using ArcGIS and other software products from Esri for use in developing web-based tools for prescribed fire data collection and analysis. The most qualified candidate will have experience with programming languages such as SQL, Python, PHP, and Javascript in addition to the software tools listed above. A familiarity with prescribed fire is desired but not required.
