Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry, 1-Year Position

Qualifications
The Chemistry Department at The College of Wooster invites applications for a visiting position in Chemistry at the level of Assistant Professor, beginning in August 2023. We are looking for a broadly trained chemist with a commitment to teaching excellence. Primary responsibilities include teaching general chemistry courses and laboratories within one’s specialization.  The undergraduate curriculum is shaped to prepare all students to engage in our nationally recognized Senior Independent Study research program. The successful applicant will have a Ph.D. by the time of appointment.

Description
The College of Wooster is an independent college of the liberal arts and sciences with a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. The Department of Chemistry is housed in a modern teaching/research space that was renovated and expanded in 2018 to integrate with our life science facilities. The department has 8 full-time faculty members and graduates approximately 15-20 majors annually, many of whom pursue advanced study and/or careers in chemistry.
