One postdoc and one research assistant position available in the root lab

Postdoctoral Researcher:

are recruiting a postdoc who will implement research related to the
Department of Energy grant, “Linking mycorrhizal network phenology to
above- and belowground plant phenology and environmental factors” (description
here <https://ess.science.energy.gov/projects-awarded-2022/>). Take a lead
role in establishing new research and leverage existing data from an
ongoing multi-year project linking above- and belowground phenology in
temperate trees. The research will emphasize novel data characterizing
mycorrhizal fungal phenology. The postdoc will be based in the Root Lab
<http://www.rootecolab.com/> in the Center for Tree Science at The Morton
Arboretum, and will also work closely with the Kennedy Lab
<https://cbs.umn.edu/kennedy-lab> in the Plant and Microbial Biology
Department at the University of Minnesota and with collaborators at the Oak
Ridge National Laboratory. Funding for this position is expected to run for
up to 30 months. Support for professional development, conference
attendance, and opportunities to expand the candidate’s research network
are also provided.

Research Assistant:

are recruiting a Research Assistant who will join the Root Lab (
www.rootecolab.com) and work as part of a team addressing interdisciplinary
questions broadly related to tree, root, and soil fungal ecology. The
Research Assistant will also have the opportunity to learn new skills,
communicate their work to diverse audiences, and interact with other teams
within the Center for Tree Science and with our network of collaborators at
other institutions and universities.
