Exciting National Leadership Position with U.S. Forest Service (USFS)

The U.S. Forest Service's National Forest System is conducting an outreach for highly qualified candidates to serve as the national Physical Scientist for the agency's Air Resource Management Program.  Working in the headquarters office of the Forest Service, you'll have the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to public service by managing complex and challenging regulatory, meteorological, modeling, and mitigation issues to protect air quality and sustain the health and diversity of America's forests and grasslands.



Biological and Physical Resources Directorate (BPR)

The Air Resource Management Program is part of the BPR; a high-energy, high-visibility center of excellence within the Forest Service national headquarters comprised of top-notch, team-oriented biologists, hydrologists, botanists, ecologists, and physical scientists.  The staff has responsibility for formulation and implementation of broad policies, programs, plans, standards and procedures for development and management of watershed, fish, wildlife, and air resources.



This is a permanent full time GS-13 position. The preferred duty station is Washington, DC, but other locations may be considered pending the results of this outreach.
