I am looking to recruit a highly motivated doctoral student to study linkages between Arctic and mid-latitude weather and climate, with a focus on so-called atmospheric rivers that reach the Arctic.

You will work with observations, remote sensing products, reanalysis datasets, and global- to regional-scale models to understand how atmospheric rivers have varied under the changing climate, how they affect the Arctic climate, and how Arctic climate change in turn influences mid-latitude regions.

The successful candidate will join my climate research group in the Division of Geoscience and Remote Sensing (https://www.chalmers.se/en/departments/see/research/geo/) at the Department of Space, Earth and Environment in Chalmers University of Technology, in the beautiful city of Gothenburg in Sweden.

The expected start date is Fall 2023.

This is a fully-funded position with many great benefits.

See the full job advertisement for more information:

The deadline for the application is 31 March 2023.
