The Office of International Education<https://www.buffalo.edu/internationaleducation.html> and Department of Geography<https://www.buffalo.edu/cas/geography.html> at the University at Buffalo (UB) invite applications for an Instructor to teach Geography courses in the University at Buffalo’s undergraduate degree program at the Singapore Institute of Management in Singapore.

Position responsibilities will include teaching introductory and upper-level undergraduate courses in classroom-based (in-person) format. The position start date is January. 2024 and expected course topics for the Spring 2024 semester are Earth Systems Science and Multivariate Statistics in Geography. The individual hired may be employed on a single-semester or a multi-semester basis.

Minimum Qualifications

  *   A Master’s degree in Geography or a directly related field and three years of teaching experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience) is required
  *   Experience teaching undergraduate students in a US college or university setting is required.
  *   Experience teaching topics directly related to the courses listed is also required, as is experience teaching in a multicultural environment.
Preferred Qualifications

  *   A PhD degree in Geography plus three or more years of teaching experience is preferred
  *   Experience living and teaching in an overseas environment, especially an Asian environment is a plus.
Physical Demands: This position involves relocating to Singapore in January 2024.
Salary Range: $20,000 - $32,800 per semester
