The History Department at Brown University and the Institute at Brown for
Environment and Society seek to hire an environmental historian. We invite
applications from candidates working in any region and any specialty,
temporally focused in any period from the 1500s to 2000. The successful
candidate will have the rank of assistant professor. The appointment will
begin on July 1, 2024, or as soon as possible thereafter. Ph.D. or
equivalent is required by time of appointment.
