Postdoctoral Research Opportunity in Analytical Chemistry of Isotopologues


Well-qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for a postdoctoral
position available immediately in the Environmental Isotope Science
Laboratory at the University of Delaware (sites.udel.edu/eis-lab/) to
develop methods of Orbitrap-based high resolution mass spectrometry for
precise isotopologue analysis of small molecules including oxyanions,
halocarbons, and various polar heterocyclic compounds of environmental
interest.  Preferred candidates will have experience in analytical
applications of high-resolution mass spectrometry, isotope-ratio mass
spectrometry, and liquid chromatography.  The position requires laboratory
work involving measurements on a brand-new Orbitrap instrument, data
analysis, preparation of reports and publications, and participation in
ongoing federally-funded research projects. Qualifications include a Ph.D.
in a relevant scientific field and a documented record of research
productivity.  Position is for one year and may be renewed. Salary is
competitive and the position includes full medical and retirement benefits.
