[ES_JOBS_NET] Spring Break Course 2023 with conservation NGO in Paraguay

Dear environment and wildlife enthusiasts,

Would you like to get a comprehensive insight into the world of 
conservation and scientific research in Paraguay? Then why not join us 
for our 7-day Spring Break course!

The course will be running from March 12th to 18th, starting and ending 
in Asuncion, Paraguay.

With a small group of like-minded students, you’ll be spending 3-days at 
our field site in the Atlantic forest, one of the most diverse but sadly 
also most threatened forests of the world. Here, you’ll learn how to 
conduct primate studies with the hooded capuchins and how to catch 
elusive wildlife on camera traps. You’ll also get to visit indigenous 
and rural communities around the forest and talk about environmental 
education.

For the second half of the course, we'll take you to a very different 
habitat: The Ñeembucú Wetlands around the small town ofPilar, that are 
critical habitat to hundreds of species. Here, you’ll learn all about 
wetland research, including invertebrates, the endemic and very rare 
Pilar Tuco-Tuco, and the urban black-and-gold howler monkeys. You’ll 
also be introduced to the work with a reference collection, scientific 
communication and writing, and our environmental education programme 
Voces de la Naturaleza.

All board, meals, and transport in country are included on top of a 
well-rounded introduction to field biology, environmental education and 
conservation presented by our award-winning staff.
