Greetings!

The Minnesota Geological Survey (MGS) is now accepting applications for a
GIS/Geologist, officially called an IT Pro 1-IT Multidiscipline. This
position supports geologists and other staff by providing geographic
information system (GIS) and Information Technology (IT) services from a
variety of disciplines.  The MGS is a great place to work with a wonderful
team of geologists and GIS professionals.

A few of the duties are as follows:

   - The employee analyzes and processes spatial data and programs
   three-dimensional modeling workflows.
   - Performs administration and maintenance of high-volume databases.
   - Provides technical support to staff for a range of hardware and
   software related systems.
   - Requires knowledge of geologic history and processes, and the
   geographic information systems available to create digital geologic maps
   and other products.


Starting salary is $50,000 - $55,000. To learn more about the position
