The California Department of Public Health is hiring Research Scientists and Environmental Scientists of varying levels and specialties to conduct research toward the understanding, prevention, and control of illnesses and injuries, and the development of public health education and prevention programs to measure the efficiency of the health care system in reducing morbidity and mortality.



A Research Scientist has the opportunity to specialize in various subject areas including but not limited to; Chemical Sciences, Epidemiology/Biostatistics, Food & Drug Sciences and Microbiological Sciences.



The Department will be hosting virtual informational sessions on February 15th & February 16th  to assist interested individuals in applying. Please see the attached flyer for additional information.
