*Graduate Positions in Urban Ecology, University of Utah*

We are seeking two graduate students to work on an exciting National
Science Foundation project investigating the role of digital tools on
environmental justice in urban forests. Students will join a highly
collaborative multi-institutional team of faculty, students, and
stakeholders. Individuals with interests in urban trees/forests, air
pollution, ecosystem services, spatial analysis, and equity are encouraged
to apply.



*Position details *


   - Two and a half years of guaranteed research fellowship funding and
   eligibility for additional funding upon completion of qualifying exams.
   - Applicants from underrepresented groups may be eligible for additional
   fellowships.
   - Students can choose City & Metropolitan Planning or Geography as their
   departmental home and may pursue a degree in either field.
   - The Ecosystems Laboratory is located in the Natural History Museum of
   Utah, University of Utah.
   - University of Utah is located in Salt Lake City, which offers high
   quality of life, a great public transit system, and easy access to hiking,
   biking, climbing, skiing and other outdoor activities.

*Desired qualifications *


   - Background in environmental science, geography, geospatial science,
   planning, or related field.
   -  Interest in interdisciplinary, community-engaged research.
   - Desire to work as part of a highly collaborative team.
   - A creative mindset and approach to research.
