Dear Colleagues,
I'd appreciate if you could please help share this one-of-a-kind
opportunity to work alongside our team to support the global air quality
ecosystem:
*Contractor for Global Air Quality Data Gaps Research (6 months)*
Seeking Expressions of Interest by Sept 5, 2023
The Air Quality Programs Team at the Energy Policy Institute at the
University of Chicago (EPIC)
<https://www.linkedin.com/company/uchicagoenergy/> is exploring new ways to
understand and support local air quality monitoring groups across the
world. We are especially interested in understanding the landscape of local
ambient PM2.5 monitoring efforts in countries where there are major PM2.5
data gaps and where potentially even a single, sustained monitoring effort
could have an outsized positive national policy impact, as well as
contribute to the global air quality ecosystem.
To that end, we are looking for a short-term (6 month) contractor with
expertise in data analysis, air pollution, community engagement, and
environmental policy to assist us with building a report identifying
opportunities to fill air quality data gaps across the world.
*Time Frame:* 30-40 hours per week over 6 months, starting by mid-September
2023.
*Location:* This work will be conducted remotely. The contractor will need
to have their working business day overlap by at least 2-3 hours with
Central European Time.
More on the opportunity and how to express interest here.

Thank you,
Christa
PS> Relatedly: Thanks so much to many of you who have helped disseminate
our form for a public registry

of data gap-filling entities/individuals across the world. It remains open!
And we're especially seeking registrants from Bangladesh, Pakistan, DRC,
Rep of Congo, Burundi, Cameroon, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Laos,
Central African Republic, Honduras, Uzbekistan, Zambia, Djibouti, and Benin.
