There is a Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Opportunity working with Camille Stagg<https://www.usgs.gov/staff-profiles/camille-lafosse-stagg> and I (Meagan Eagle<https://www.usgs.gov/staff-profiles/meagan-j-eagle>) at the USGS to investigate carbon cycle processes within coastal wetlands and assess environmental drivers influencing stocks, fluxes and transformations within wetland systems. Additional details are available in the Research Opportunity listing: https://www.usgs.gov/centers/mendenhall-research-fellowship-program/22-41-fluxes-and-fate-carbon-within-coastal-wetlands
To apply to a Mendenhall Research Opportunities, potential postdocs write a research proposal to address the topic described. We are looking for someone broadly interested in carbon cycle research from a wide variety of backgrounds (geochemical, biological, modeling, etc). The strongest applications are built through early engagement with potential advisors, so interested folks should reach out to myself (meagle at usgs.gov) and Camille (cstagg at usgs.gov).
The potential candidate would work in Woods Hole MA at the USGS Coastal & Marine Science Center, and collaborate across the Hazards and Ecosystems Mission Areas of the USGS. Candidates are hired as GS12 (see additional details at USAJobs.gov for salary and benefits information). The position is open from 9/5 to 11/1.
Apologies for any cross posting.
