   Job Opportunity: postdoctoral Research Associate on ensemble hydrologic
prediction at UT Arlington

Qualifications:

●       A PhD degree in water resource engineering, meteorology,
statistics, or a related field

●       Experience in hydrologic model implementation, calibration,
postprocessing,

●       Expertise in validating ensemble/probabilistic meteorological and
hydrologic forecasts

●       Proficient in at least two of the following programming languages:
Fortran, Python, R, Java, C and NCL

●       Must have working experience with tool application and development
on Linux clusters

●       Strong verbal and written communication skills as demonstrated in
peer-reviewed publications

Responsibilities:

●       Maintain and enhance ensemble hydrometeorological and hydrologic
forecast systems

●       Develop prototype statistical forecast modules by applying
techniques developed at UTA; perform integration tests and hindcast
experiments

●       Present results in peer-reviewed publications and in national
conferences

●       Engage partners and stakeholders through regular meetings

Compensation:

Commensurate with experience
