Position: Postdoc or Senior Postdoc

Brief Description of Duties:
The goal of the project is to develop a deep-learning hybrid
dynamical-statistical model for implementation at the National Oceanic and
Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Climate Prediction Center (CPC) in
support of post-processing subseasonal products to improve forecasting of
US precipitation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Atmospheric Science, Climate Science,
Physics, or a closely related field. Strong coding skills. Knowledge of
large-scale climate variability and tropics-extratropics teleconnections.
Experience with machine learning models. Experience with
statistical/mathematical analysis and visualization. Experience handling
large observational or forecast datasets.
