The individual will also participate and lead various scientific working groups, as well as serve as a member of FIA's rapid hurricane damage assessment team.

The duty station for this position is negotiable, but preferred to be within the geographical footprint of the Southern Research Station, which includes Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
