A research opportunity is currently available with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) within the USGS Climate Adaptation Science Center<https://www.usgs.gov/programs/climate-adaptation-science-centers> (CASC) network, specifically the regional North Central CASC<https://nccasc.colorado.edu/> located in Boulder, Colorado, and the Northwest CASC<https://nwcasc.uw.edu/> located in Seattle, Washington. Regional CASCs support and produce science to inform on-the-ground climate adaptation planning by natural and cultural resource managers. The selected candidate can report remotely, however, preference will be given to candidates located in, or willing to relocate to, Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, or Washington.

The objective is to develop a plan for and conduct stakeholder engagement across Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana, Wyoming, and the Dakotas in support of five separate USGS projects examining the eco-hydrologic impacts of climate change. Stakeholder engagement is central to the CASC mission of delivering actionable science to resource managers. Intentional design of such engagement helps researchers and the management community better understand decision contexts, identify information needs, and better design research efforts.
