POSITION: Instructor in Environmental Science (EEO# TBN-Costigan)
RESPONSIBILITIES:
This is an Emergency Temporary Instructor position in Environmental Science focusing on Introductory Environmental Science, Geographic Information Science, Field Techniques, Biosphere System and Air Quality. The successful applicant must be enthusiastic about teaching undergraduate courses. The applicant must demonstrate institutional citizenship through active engagement at the department, college, university, community, and professional levels.
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful applicant must have a Masters of Science degree and demonstrated teaching experience in Environmental Science, Geographic Information Science, and Landscape Evolution or closely-related fields within a science-based program. Successful candidates must be committed to working effectively with diverse student populations and in interdisciplinary teams. Applicants should describe their commitment to fostering a diverse educational environment through their teaching, and/or service activities.
UNIVERSITY AND COMMUNITY:
The School of Geosciences combines undergraduate and graduate programs in Geology and Environmental Sciences and includes 12 full-time faculty, 9 instructors and staff, and approximately 100 undergraduate majors and 40 graduate students. SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
