We invite you to apply for a postdoctoral position in the field of data-driven atmospheric cloud research.
Within the broad scope of physics-aware and interpretable machine learning, you will be free to set your own scientific emphasis. Possible research directions include data-driven model discovery under incorporation of partial physical knowledge such as conservation laws. Examples for applications include boundary-layer clouds and cloud microphysics.
We are looking for a curiosity-driven, and conceptually-minded candidate who enjoys scientific discussion and computational data analysis. As a suitable candidate, you either have hands-on experience with machine-learning methods and at least a basic knowledge of physics, or a background in atmospheric cloud research and advanced data analysis. Prior experience with physics-informed machine-learning is not required but will be beneficial.
TU Delft is one of the leading research universities worldwide, located within 20 minutes by public transport from Den Haag and Rotterdam in the Netherlands.
