Hi! We are currently recruiting a student interested in conducting research on Mississippian carbonates rocks in continental U.S. as part of their master’s degree.



Project title: “Depositional controls on low-latitude, mixed shallow-water carbonate rocks, Lower Mississippian, continental U.S., with implications for reservoir character”

Host institution: University of Kansas, Lawrence, KS

Supervisor: Dr Diana Ortega-Ariza, Assistant Scientist, Kansas Geological Survey-University of Kansas

Funding status: This position is fully funded for two years and includes summer support.

The successful applicant will start the project in summer/fall 2023.
