Position Description:

Dr. Yaoze Liu invites applications for a postdoctoral researcher position in the area of hydrologic and water quality modeling. The postdoctoral researcher will develop and apply hydrologic/water quality models and optimization-based decision support systems (DSS) to improve water resources sustainability at the field and/or watershed scales. This position is immediately available, and the initial appointment is one year with possible renewal that depends on funding availability and the postdoctoral researcher’s performance.



Applicants must have demonstrated research experience in:

(1) Hydrologic/water quality modeling using HYDRUS and/or SWAT (Soil and Water Assessment Tool).

(2) Programming languages, such as FORTRAN, Matlab, Python, or C++.



Other qualifications:

(1) A Ph.D. degree in environmental engineering, agricultural engineering, or other closely related disciplines.

(2) 3 years or less from receiving the Ph.D. degree.

(3) Strong scientific communication skills.
