The Flagler College Natural Sciences Department is looking for a dynamic
instructor to teach multiple sections of our general education,
undergraduate, lab and lecture courses in Introductory Environmental
Sciences at our campus in downtown St. Augustine, as a Visiting Lecturer
(one-year contract, with no guarantee of renewal) starting in Fall 2022.
The Visiting Lecturer will teach up to 15 contact hours per week, with some
sections scheduled in the evening. Each introductory environmental science
section will be integrated with one of our core values in our new general
education program: Transformative Learning, Respectful and Inclusive
Community, Citizenship with Integrity, and Thoughtful Stewardship.

syllabi for each of these versions of the course; where different case
studies, readings, and projects are used to illustrate the core values.
Instructors are also welcome to develop their own ideas, provided they meet
the learning outcomes.  We welcome applicants with an enthusiasm for
teaching environmental courses from these perspectives, as well as, courses
for our Coastal Environmental Science major and Biology minor.
