We would like to introduce the following open recruitment of my team.
RIKEN, Climate Science Research Team, is now looking for a highly
motivated scientist
to join as a researcher or a senior researcher (permanent employment),
particularly to formulate mitigation measures and adaptation measures
for regional
climate during global warming.

Overview:
There is an urgent need to formulate mitigation measures and adaptation
measures for regional climate during global warming (e.g., based on the
Climate Change Adaptation Act in Japan). Factors such as the new
coronavirus infection have made regional policy more complex. There is
an urgent need for comprehensive urban design to improve people's QoL
and respond appropriately to climate disasters. Our laboratory conducts
practical research using high-performance computers for such scientific
and social issues.
Position:
Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist: 1 position (Female only)
Qualification:
Doctoral degree (or equivalent research ability and background) in the
relevant research field.
