The Aerosol-Climate research group in the Department of Life and Environmental Sciences at the University of California - Merced is seeking 1-2 Ph.D. students to begin in the Fall of 2022. Successful students will work on research involving the critical impacts of dust on the global climate system. The position will be funded through a combination of research and teaching assistantships, which will include tuition waivers and benefits. Applicants with a background in atmospheric science, ocean science, geology, physics, or other related fields are welcome to apply. Previous programming skills using Fortran, NCL, Matlab, and/or Python are preferred but not required.
