conduct original research on sulfur in magmas, from the mantle to the 
climate system. Approaches may include laboratory experiments to

concentration, species and isotopes in volcanic crystals and glasses; 
and developing numerical models for sulfur degassing from ascending magmas.

include several years of postdoctoral experience; proficiency in 
experimental petrology; analytical expertise in electron, laser and
