The Department of Environmental, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences at University of Massachusetts Lowell is seeking a graduate student (PhD or MS) to join a project investigating the relationship between glacial meltwater streamflow and regional climate change in the McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica. The project will include field research in Antarctica, stratigraphic studies, GIS-based analyses of meltwater sources and deposits, and geochemical analyses. The successful candidate needs to have a bachelor’s degree (earned by summer 2022) in geology, Earth sciences, environmental sciences, or a related field.

The Department of Environment, Earth & Atmospheric Sciences (EEAS) offers a PhD in Earth System Science and an MS in Environmental Geoscience.
