[ES_JOBS_NET] Postdoc position in Dryland Biogeochemistry

*The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP)* is recruiting a postdoctoral
researcher to work on a recently funded National Science Foundation
'Critical Zone Thematic Cluster' grant to study carbon fluxes,
ecohydrology, and nutrient availability in dryland ecosystems. The primary
goal for this position will be an increased understanding of nutrient
cycling (with particular focus on phosphorus) in these carbonate rich
dryland soils. We are specifically looking for a candidate with experience
in biogeochemical research/ecosystem ecology, with preference for a
candidate with interest/knowledge of dryland ecosystems. This project is
highly interdisciplinary and offers candidates the opportunity to network
and collaborate across sites and disciplines, with the expectation that the
candidate will produce high impact products that synthesize a broad scope
of research across the project. Up to four years of funding is available.



The project has sites in Texas, New Mexico, and Idaho. The position is
located in El Paso, Texas and will be focused on the field operations at
the Texas and New Mexico sites, including the Jornada Experimental Range in
