I am actively recruiting a Ph.D. student to work on an NSF-funded project to study the paleoclimate of the McMurdo Dry Valleys, Antarctica, during the mid-Pliocene Warm Period. This project involves field work in Antarctica, geochemistry lab work, data analysis, and numerical modeling. A more complete project description can be found here: https://bit.ly/3m7oWoU.
This student would join my thermochronology research group at Purdue University in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences. You can read more about our research group and its members here: https://bit.ly/3m4naVG. Information about our department’s graduate program can be found here: http://bit.ly/2J7wnJo
This position is open for fall 2021 to domestic applicants. If you are a prospective graduate student interested in working on this project, or if you know a prospective student who may be interested, please contact me at tremblam at purdue.edu<mailto:tremblam at purdue.edu>.
