Good Morning,

Would it be possible to post the following job on the Met-Jobs list?

Pacific Northwest National Laboratory
Research Scientist: Clouds & Aerosol - Cloud Interactions
Richland, WA
Job ID: 311496

The Atmospheric Sciences and Global Change Division at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) seeks a research scientist who will perform modeling and analysis to gain new scientific insights into processes critical for cloud physics and cloud-aerosol interactions and their roles in past and future changes in regional precipitation and extreme events. The ability to analyze large observational (long-term monitoring or short-term field campaign) and model (LES, regional-scale, global) datasets and to pose hypotheses that tease out new insights is critical. The candidate will also work with PNNL modelers to develop and evaluate new treatments of cloud physics and cloud-aerosol interactions that can be applied in regional and global atmospheric models. The candidate will have the opportunities to work with teams of scientists at PNNL and collaborate with other national labs, as well as universities, on other topics of common interest.

Minimum Qualifications:

* BS/BA with 5 years of experience, MS/MA with 3 years of experience, or PhD with 0 years of experience

* Experience in running and revising codes of atmospheric general circulations models (e.g., EAM, CAM, WRF) in high-performance computing environments.

* Demonstrated experience with cloud physics and cloud-aerosol interactions.

* Demonstrated experience in analyzing large observational and model datasets.

* Experience in applying Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence to climate problems.
