Postdoctoral Researcher in Isotopic and Greenhouse Gas Monitoring based at the National Physical Laboratory (London), in partnership with the University of Edinburgh

You will be a key member of a new project called POLYGRAM (polygram.ac.uk) to work on the sampling and laboratory methods to make measurements of the rare isotopologues of methane in the atmosphere. Methane is a large contributor to anthropogenic radiative forcing and understanding its changing atmospheric budget is vital. You will work together with a broad range of scientists; atmospheric modellers and isotope geochemists throughout the UK and abroad. Your work will involve sample collection from field studies, processing of samples in the laboratory, and interpreting datasets.  You will be based at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) as part of an ongoing close collaboration in atmospheric science between NPL and the University of Edinburgh.
