The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources' Water Use Section (Madison, WI) is hiring a groundwater hydrologist / modeler to join our team. As part of the team, the position implements the department’s high-capacity well impact assessment and groundwater quantity program on a statewide basis, assessing aquifer sustainability and groundwater/surface water interaction and trends, coordinating the development and review of state-of-the-art groundwater flow models, and quantifying high-capacity well impacts on Wisconsin’s water resources.  This position also provides hydrogeologic expertise regarding hydrogeological, water resources, well construction, and interpretation and application of state statutes, administrative codes and DNR policies and procedures. This position collaborates with partners at the USGS Midwest Science Center, the University of Wisconsin System, and others.
