Description: The Dartmouth Climate Modeling & Impacts Group (CMIG)<https://jsmankin.github.io/> at Dartmouth College and the Division of Ocean & Climate Physics at Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory of Columbia University<https://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/research/ocean-climate-physics> seeks a postdoctoral scholar to work on the coupled interactions of vegetation and drought over the observational and future periods. The position is based at Dartmouth College, in Hanover, New Hampshire, USA with Justin Mankin<https://geography.dartmouth.edu/people/justin-s-mankin>, but is in collaboration with Jason Smerdon <https://smerdon.ldeo.columbia.edu/people/jason-e-smerdon> and Richard Seager<https://www.ldeo.columbia.edu/user/seager> both of Lamont-Doherty. The two-year appointment begins in Aug/Sep 2021.

Qualifications: A PhD in climate or atmospheric science, or ecohydrology, all broadly defined. Experience analyzing in situ and remotely-sensed observations of vegetation and water and Earth System Model simulations is preferred.
