The Chemistry Department and Environmental Studies Program at Reed College
in Portland, Oregon invite applications for a one-year visiting position,
with a possible extension for a second year, in the field of Environmental
Chemistry, beginning in August 2021.  The successful candidate will offer
courses in environmental and analytical chemistry, as well as contributing
to a team-taught interdisciplinary course in the Environmental Studies
program (https://www.reed.edu/es/courses.html). Teaching duties also
include advising senior thesis students in year-long independent research
projects. Excellent facilities for teaching and research are available,
including a 400 MHz multinuclear NMR spectrometer, GC/MS, triple quadrupole
LC/MS, and more (https://www.reed.edu/chemistry/instrumentation.html),
supported by a full-time instrumentation chemist. Ph.D. is required;
postdoctoral experience preferred but not required.
