*Role*

This role would lead several exciting projects we have underway to advance
solar mini-grid project development in Nigeria and other countries. As Lead
Analyst, you would lead wide a variety of analyses involved in in planning
and developing solar mini-grids for community electrification. Your
responsibilities would include managing field teams that conduct site
surveys, processing field survey data to generate demand forecasts (working
closely with Odyssey’s data science team), and using with Odyssey’s
proprietary software tools to conduct detailed technical and financial
analysis for potential mini-grid sites (including PV system optimization,
distribution network design, etc.) You would also head project management
of our feasibility analyses contracts, ensuring that we are meeting all
deadlines and exceeding our clients’ expectations.

*About you*



You have a background in power engineering and the fundamentals of
renewable energy systems, and are a quick learner; you will be able to
quickly learn Odyssey’s software for mini-grid feasibility analyses. You
are comfortable working independently and delivering high-quality results
to clients. You have strong project management skills, and are comfortable
both leading a project from start to finish while taking responsibility for
completing key deliverables.



*Requirements*



We are looking for candidates who have:



·       Bachelor’s degree (minimum); Master’s degree preferred in power
systems engineering or similar preferred

·       Coursework in renewable energy fundamentals and understanding of
core concepts such as system sizing optimization; power flow modeling; and
calculation of LCOE, IRR and related financial metrics

·       2+ years professional experience in energy analysis, project
development or related field

   - Strong background with data analytics (Excel mandatory, Python
   preferred)
   - Proficiency working with technical software applications; experience
   with HOMER strongly preferred
   - Strong project management skills
   - Excellent written and verbal communication skills
