We have two post-doc positions open at the Department of Meteorology, Stockholm University, one in Aerosol-Cloud-Climate Interactions and one in Modeling Polar and Mid-Latitude Climate Connections.

---

Postdoctoral Fellow in Aerosol-Cloud-Climate Interactions within the H2020-funded project FORCeS. The overarching goal of the post-doc project is to investigate how aerosol perturbations propagate to large-scale cloud and climate variables via cloud microphysical properties, and based on this knowledge improve the description of relevant microphysical and dynamical processes in a general circulation model.

This is a full-time employment for two years. The position will be associated with the Horizon2020-funded project FORCeS (Constrained aerosol forcing for improved climate projections). FORCeS strives towards reducing the uncertainty in anthropogenic aerosol forcing, which is crucial for determining the actions needed to reach the Paris Agreement. Stockholm University is coordinating the project, which is a collaboration between 22 European partners.

Postdoctoral Fellow in Modeling Polar and Mid-Latitude Climate Connections within the H2020-funded project CRiceS. The overarching goal of this post-doc project is to understand how changing aerosol emissions and concentrations, cloud optical properties, and sea ice extent in the polar regions impact two-way interactions between polar regions and lower latitudes, e.g. in terms of atmospheric meridional heat transport, large-scale circulation, and precipitation patterns.
