The Department of Geosciences offersa position at the Junior 
Professorship in Geosensor Systems, starting at 01.07.2021, as a

*Scientific Staff member*

(if the personal requirements E 13 TV-L are fulfilled)

  for 3 years (duration of employment according to § 2 Abs. 1 
WissZeitVG9) with 75% (part-time) of the regular weekly working time. 
There is the possibility of further scientific qualification.

**

*Your tasks*: Support of the junior professorship for geosensor systems 
in teaching and research; independent, method-oriented research, with 
special emphasis on 4D environmental monitoring with geosensors; 
development and supervision of geosensors in the field; planning and 
execution of UAV flights; processing and evaluation of multi-temporal 
geo-datasets, including machine learning methods; integration of 
spatiotemporally high-resolution data into hydrological and 
geomorphological process models; supervision of exercises as well as 
seminars and student theses.

**

*Prerequisites*: University degree in the field of geoinformatics, 
geodesy, environmental sciences, geography or comparable; experience 
with the acquisition and processing of 3D data (laser scanning, 
photogrammetry); experience with low-cost sensor technology; experience 
in the analysis of geo-data in a programming language; experience with 
optimization algorithms and machine learning; high team and 
communication skills; goal-oriented working style; business fluent 
written and oral expression in German and English.
