We invite you to apply for a 1.5-year postdoctoral position at TU Delft in the Netherlands.

The winter-time Arctic boundary layer exhibits two distinct states. One of these states features mixed-phase clouds, the other is radiatively clear. Your goal will be to characterize this bistability from the perspective of dynamical systems theory. The anticipated approach involves emulator building from simulation and observational data. Within the broad scope of the project, you will be free to set your own scientific emphasis. In addition to an exciting research project and a friendly and stimulating work environment, we can offer you generous funds for scientific travel.

We are looking for a strong, curiosity-driven, and conceptually-minded candidate who enjoys computational data analysis and scientific discussion. As a suitable candidate, you have a background in either modeling or observation of clouds, or in a relevant branch of physics or a similar field. You further have extended programming experience, especially for data analysis.

TU Delft is a top international university in the Netherlands, located within 20 minutes by public transport from Den Haag and Rotterdam.

Your application will be given full consideration if you apply before May 10, 2021.
