The research focus is on algorithm development and validation for current
and future multispectral and hyperspectral imagery applied to aquatic
ecosystems. The selected candidate will have a strong background in one or
more of the following areas: data analytics, image processing, optics,
ocean/aquatic sciences, or computer science. Familiarity with
machine-learning concepts is highly desirable. The selected candidate is
expected to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and to
be able to contribute significantly to high-quality peer-reviewed
publications. The position is nominally located at GSFC, but a
telecommuting option is available.
