Teach one or more sections of GEO 1030 (Earthquakes & Volcanoes), GEO 1110
(Dynamic Earth: Physical Geology), GEO 1115 (Physical Geology Lab), GEO 1060
(Environmental Geosciences), GEO 1065 (Environmental Geoscience Lab), or GEO
1130 (Intro to Meteorology).

The specific teaching assignment may be an evening class and/or may be at
the Davis campus.

**This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as
positions become available. After a period of time, the pool will expire and
applicants will be notified.

 

 

Required Qualifications

Master's Degree in geology or related geoscience discipline.
Ability to utilize multimedia equipment and software in an instructional
environment.

Physical Requirements of this position

Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or
negligible amount of force frequently or consistently to move objects,
including the human body. Sitting most of the time. Walking and standing
only occasionally.

 

Visual Acuity Requirements including color, depth perception and field of
vision.

Required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing
and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal;
extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts at
distances close to the eye

 

The conditions the worker will be subject to in this position.

None. The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental
conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work).
