Postdoctoral positions at Washington University in St. Louis
Two postdoctoral scholar positions are available in Prof. Jian Wang's group in the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering at Washington University in St. Louis.  The research will focus on (1) the development of novel instruments for rapid measurements of aerosol size spectrum, hygroscopic growth, and mixing state onboard manned and unmanned aircraft, and/or (2) the understanding of the processes that drive the aerosol hygroscopicity and cloud condensation nuclei spectrum, and the interactions between aerosol and clouds through field observations.
The successful candidates are expected to have a background in aerosol research and strong experimental skills.  Demonstrated commitment to publication of results and strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary. Previous experience with field measurements and demonstrated skills in complex data analysis and instrument development are highly desirable.
