School of Informatics, Computing and Cyber Systems
Northern Arizona University
Flagstaff, Arizona
Join an exciting Northern Arizona University research team (gurneylab.nau.edu<http://gurneylab.nau.edu>) in beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona doing cutting-edge research on the carbon cycle and climate change. This postdoctoral position will perform research on quantification and analysis of fossil fuel CO2 emissions at fine space/time scales in urban areas within the US and globally. Working with the “Hestia” emissions information system (hestia.rc.nau.edu<http://hestia.rc.nau.edu>), the postdoctoral scientist will explore the use of remote sensing to estimate fossil fuel CO2 in global cities. The position intersects the disciplines of carbon cycle science, spatial analysis, remote sensing, urban science/policy, informatics, and emissions accounting.
