Job Summary
The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for an Instructor in atmospheric and oceanic science. This is a part-time (50%) appointment which will commence in August 2020.

The Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences (ATOC) provides a world-class, interdisciplinary research and educational environment to examine the dynamical, physical, and chemical processes that occur in the atmosphere and ocean. A major theme is the establishment of a physical basis for observing, modeling, and understanding climate and global change. What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Duties will include teaching two undergraduate-level courses each semester (e.g., ATOC 1050: Weather and the Atmosphere, ATOC 2050: Introduction to Atmospheric Science, ATOC 3050: Principles of Weather), with the possibility of coordinating the ATOC Learning Assistant program in lieu of one of the courses. ATOC 1050 typically has enrollments of 200 to 300 students per semester, other ATOC courses range from 20-70 students.
What You Should Know
This is a non-tenure track appointment and may be reappointed for periods of up three years. Position will be required to perform service activities.

What We Require
A Master's degree in atmospheric or oceanic sciences or a related field is required at the time of appointment.

Experience teaching at University level is preferred.
