[ES_JOBS_NET] Data Assimilation Postdoc Position; NCAR, Boulder

The NCAR/Earth Observing Laboratory is looking for a post-doctoral
researcher to conduct independent and collaborative research in data
assimilation (DA) that addresses specific project goals to assimilate
moisture profiles from a state-of-the-art network of:
- MicroPulse water vapor differential absorption lidars (MPD),
- water vapor and temperature profiles from Atmospheric Emitted Radiance
Interferometers (AERI) and
- wind profiles from Doppler lidars (DL).
Research will focus on the best practices of assimilation of thermodynamic
and wind profiles into convection-allowing Weather Research and Forecast
Data Assimilation (WRFDA), Ensemble Kalman filtering data assimilation via
the Data Assimilation Research Testbed (DART) and/or hybrid DA with a
development version of the High-Resolution Rapid Refresh (HRRR).
