About This Role:

The Porous Media Research Lab at Kansas State University is looking for a full-time, term, 12-month, benefits-eligible Fellow (Post Doc) to take on a unique project designed to analyze complex networks in geoscience. The successful candidate will work closely with Dr. Behzad Ghanbarian at Geology Department to understand the degree of complexity in geologic systems, provide insights from network science to geoscience, analyze complex networks to advance our knowledge of interconnectivity and node influences.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

Minimum Requirements:
*         Ph.D. in physics, computer science, geoscience, or relevant areas
Excellent knowledge of complex networks and network science.
*         Record of Professional Publications.

Preferred Qualifications:
*         Experience with utilizing various computer software to perform scientific analysis on large amounts of data.

Other Requirements:
*         Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States at the time of employment
Roles and Responsibilities:
*         Analyzing complex networks in geoscience.
*         Writing peer-reviewed journal articles for publication in top-notch journals with ISI indices and helping writing grant proposals.
*         Mentoring graduate students under the supervision of the mentor Dr. Behzad Ghanbarian.
